Caucasus Barometer is an annual survey about socio-economic issues and political attitudes conducted by the Caucasus Research Resource Centers (CRRC) in the three countries of the South Caucasus: Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia. The project started in 2004. Representative nationwide data is available since 2008 (before 2010, the survey was titled The Data Initiative).

Population: Adults (18 years old and over), excluding the populations living in territories affected by military conflict (Mountainous Karabakh, South Ossetia and Abkhazia) and Nakhichevan.

Sample Design: Multi-stage cluster sampling with preliminary stratification.

Sample Size: 5761 respondents (1975 in Armenia, 1795 in Azerbaijan, 1991 in Georgia).

Response rate: 77% in Armenia, 77% in Azerbaijan, 70% in Georgia.

Survey mode: Face-to-face paper-and-pencil interview (PAPI).

Interview languages: Armenian, Azerbaijani, Georgian.

Fieldwork Dates: September 4, 2009 to November 13, 2009.

Results are weighted.
