This nationally representative survey aimed to assess knowledge and attitudes of the population toward social capital, media and gender issues in the country and to stimulate debate about the same issues.

Social Capital, Media and Gender Survey in Azerbaijan was conducted by Caucasus Research Resource Center - Azerbaijan. This nationally representative survey aimed to assess knowledge and attitudes of the population toward social capital, media and gender issues in the country and to stimulate debate about the same issues.

Population: Adults (18 years old and over), excluding the populations living in territories affected by military conflict (Mountainous Karabakh) and Nakhichevan.

Sample Design: Multi-stage cluster sampling with preliminary stratification.

Sample Size: 998 respondents.

Response rate: 83%.

Survey mode: Face-to-face paper-and-pencil interview (PAPI).

Interview languages: Azerbaijani.

Fieldwork Dates: January 1, 2012 to February 27, 2012.

Results are weighted.
