NDI: Public attitudes in Georgia The main objective of the study is to assess knowledge and attitudes of Georgian population towards political issues and ongoing events.

Population: Adult population (18 years old and over), excluding the populations living in territories affected by military conflict (South Ossetia and Abkhazia).

In addition:

February 2021, December 2020, August 2020, and June 2020 - representative of Tbilisi, urban and rural areas of Georgia.

December 2019, July 2019, April 2019, December 2018, June 2018, March 2018, and December 2017 - representative of Tbilisi, large urban, small urban, rural areas of Georgia and minority settlements.

June 2017, April 2017, November 2016, June 2016, and March 2016 - representative of Tbilisi, urban, rural areas of Georgia and minority settlements.

November 2015 - representative of Tbilisi, urban and rural areas of Georgia.

August 2015 - representative of urban, rural, East and West Georgia areas, as well as Georgian and non-Georgian speaking population. Additionally, representative sample is present for the self-governing cities of Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Batumi, Zugdidi, Gori, Telavi, Akhaltsikhe, Ozurgeti, Mtskheta and of Gurjaani municipality.

April 2015 - representative of Urban, Rural, East Georgia and West Georgia areas and settlements densely populated by ethnic minorities. Also, additional representative samples of the self-governing cities of Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Zugdidi, Batumi, Akhaltsikhe and the municipality of Gurjaani.

October 2014 - representative of Tbilisi, Telavi, Akhaltsikhe, Kutaisi, Zugdidi, Batumi, urban, rural, East Georgia and West Georgia areas of Georgia.

August 2014 - representative of Tbilisi, Batumi, Poti, Telavi, Gori, Mtskheta, urban areas of East Georgia, urban areas of West Georgia, rural areas of East Georgia, and rural areas of West Georgia.

April 2014 - representative of urban, rural, East Georgia and West Georgia areas. Also, additional representative samples of 12 self-governing cities of Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Batumi, Poti, Rustavi, Gori, Akhaltsikhe, Ozurgeti, Ambrolauri, Zugdidi, Telavi and Mtskheta.

Sample Design:

February 2021, December 2020, August 2020, and June 2020 - Simple random sampling using random-digit-dial method.

December 2019, July 2019, April 2019, December 2018, June 2018, March 2018, December 2017, June 2017, April 2017, November 2016, June 2016, March 2016, November 2015, August 2015, April 2015, October 2014, August 2014, and April 2014 - Multi-stage cluster sampling with preliminary stratification.
